Metabranch City

The third largest city of Ethereia, and the first to be founded after Wandering began.

From where you stand, you have The Library of Ethereia behind you.
Right in front of you, the library square, and off in the distance between the urban sprawl of buildings, a type of lighthouse it would seem. With a number of telecommunications antennae mounted on it's sides. It is only visible thanks to a major road running from the square and off in it's general direction.

Not currently visible in the distance is The Dreamers' Wharf that runs along the coast southward of the lighthouse, and may be reached by riding one of the self-driving RailTaxi's that provide for most of the city's personal transportation needs.

Immediately on the left side of the major road lies the beginning of a sizeable neighborhood of tall and densely packed apartment complexes, and running along and between them: the labyrinthine collection of alleyways known as The Kowloon Streets.

Running between the library and the apartment complexes is a medium sized road with a RailTaxi terminal running along the library square further to your left, whose rentable personal carriages can expedite you on your way to The Metabranch Central Travel Hub that lies just a bit out of eyes reach along the RailTaxi paths.

On the rightmost side, the first major feature to catch the eye is a peculiar mastodon of a building labeled Sensortech Institute - a combined educational institution, medical services provider and biotechnology research lab specialising in cybernetic implants and human compatible nanotechnology.

Less imposing - or if you will: just less attention-grabbing - is an outlet for First General Bank of Mount Dys located next to the hulking Sensortech Institute on the road running south from the square and into the suburbs of Metabranch. The First General Bank is a semi-public institution created and regulated by the government of Mount Dys in the days before Wandering Times and is the primary goto for personal funding and finance of most citizens inhabiting the surface world.
Notably: This is the main institution responsible for distribution of Basic Income.
