Kowloon Streets

You decide to brave the tight streets of the dense residential area.

And although you make sure to stick to the relatively spacier "walking streets" and avoid the tiny alleyways, the ambience still turns dark from the towering buildings blocking out most of the light from the sky above.

An almost underground shopping mall or night market esque vibe takes over, as you enjoy a stroll in a labyrinth of hyperactive dot-matrix signs competing for attention with the more calm and old-school neon-light based ones, along graffitied walls with blinded windows and their many accompanying silhouettes of slow-moving patrons populating the many marts and malls and cafés, clubhouses, diners, dive-bars, noodle-shops, specialty-wares shops, custom craft outlets, combined small-furnitures woodcarvers and coffeeshops, small widget and gizmo stores with attached smoking lounges for their vaping clientele, and likewise wearables merchants seemingly advertising their presence with slightly open windows letting through the murmur of backrooms full of customers passionately discussing their favorite gadgets and modifications.

After wandering around a bit, mapping out the most important "main streets" for finding your way out of the sprawl again eventually, you make your way off the most busy streets and away from the street vendors with their distracting LED-lightshow booths, where on a rather sleepy street you find a low-key cocktail bar that strikes you in a peculiar way - named Glitchcove - that you might opt to check out sometime.

Also of note of places you found along the stroll, close to the hotel you're currently lodged at, is a relatively uncrowded general store called Edgar Boltz' Emporium that seems to carry a decent selection of consumables and appliances you might want for eventual daily needs during your stay in Metabranch at reasonable prices while still having that pinch of personality to it that's not usually afforded with the bigger chain store brands across Ethereia.

For now that's the extent of exploration you can properly memorize for the day without risking getting lost in the nooks and crannies and sometimes almost overwhelming impressions in The Kowloon Streets.
